There are two ways participants/administrators can log in to a portal: SSO or standard login.
SSO
An SSO connection means that your portal has a direct connection with your HRIS (Human Resources Information System). This means that when you log in to your own intranet, you are automatically logged into the Insala portal. In this case, you will always access the portal within your intranet. If you are not logged into your intranet, you will not have direct access to the portal. If you have SSO but would like access to your portal outside of your intranet, speak to your Insala account manager. In that case, you would need a username/password that is unique to the Insala portal. Your SSO information will not work using the standard login method.
If you are not able to log in via SSO, there are two things to review:
- SSO requirements are not being fulfilled. The information for SSO is missing for a particular field. The field is usually an EmployeeID, NetworkID, etc and is found on the Account Information Tab.
- Your HRIS feed is not working correctly with the portal. If the first case is not the issue, you will want to communicate to your IT team to understand if there is an issue with your SSO feed information being supplied to the portal.
Standard login
A standard login means that you have created a username/password within the Insala portal and use that to access the portal. The login page is either a unique creation by your organization or https://suite.insala.com/icm/login.aspx.
If you are not able to login using a standard login, there are two things to review on the Account Information Tab. The most common issues are:
- Status was changed from active/registered to another status. Only Active/Registered accounts can access the portal. Any other status will not allow entry.
- An end date was set on the account (ET clients). Once the end date is met, the account will no longer be granted portal access.
