This tool is designed to help you manage your job opportunities from beginning to end. Within the tool you can: send your resume, manage follow-up activity, and organize network contacts.
The tracker divides your job search into six stages.
- Research
- Initial response
- Follow-up
- Opportunity closed
- Interview scheduled
- Interview completed.
It also shows following up after the interview, and opportunity won or lost. The tool contains a list of all job opportunities you have saved so you can see your progress with each opportunity in one place. On the review page for a specific opportunity, you can see an 'Upcoming Events' section where you can see scheduled events concerning this opportunity, a 'Task List' for to-do items concerning the opportunity, and an 'Activity Journal' to keep track of key points or information concerning the opportunity. You'll also see a 'Resume/CV Status', 'Related Links', and 'Related Files' sections.
The tabs at the top of the tracker provide additional information regarding the opportunity. The Company tab provides access to business news and financial forecasts for the company you're interested in. The People tab contains networking data with names and contact information of people related to the opportunity. The Industry tab contains updates on the overall industry. All information is pulled from the DnB's business database. To track your progress just update your opportunity information on a daily, weekly, or biweekly basis.
