Three tips for successful networking:
1. Find the right people - reflect on your strengths, desires, and goals, and developing a heightened sense of self-awareness. This will allow you to set appropriate goals and look for people who have similar interests to yourself or people with career paths you would like to follow.
2. Ask the right questions - you can set goals to help direct your progress during networking sessions such as, "I will get the phone numbers of three key individuals for my internal job search every week." These will guide the questions you ask.
3. Value your own time highly - don't spend too little OR too much time networking - remember that networking is simply one essential aspect of your overarching job campaign - make sure to also spend time practicing for interviews and putting thought and effort into any job applications you may have.
